I'll forever remember a portland CART race where he split Fittipaldi and Mears on the front straight into the Festival corner. It was a key pass and he went on to a flag to flag win. After the race, he said he "knew the other two would let him by if he showed a wheel"
Defend all ya want... Mikey was a pathetic driver in F1 and the results speak for themselves. His accomplishments in CART were just not able to be manifested in F1 where he was an extraordinary looser and he displayed to all his lousy attitude.

I'm a huge fan of his Dad, but in this case son sure as heck is not like father...

He He, the results do suck. I wonder how it might have been if he'd had a second year? He raced well at Monza, a real drivers track (well, not counting the self induced spin).

They really did...

And at the time I was right there giving him all the support I could, but after a while I actually felt good about him disapearing into the background.

Mario has lost his nice cordial ways though.. a few months back , we had a autograph signing (Barrie, Ontario) and he was nothing but rude to my friend who went. I'm glad i didn't waste my time and go.

And PLEASE, don't be saying Scott is not going to get some good equipment, it is too early to say that kind of stuff. The financial power behind Red Bull should not be overlooked, trust me.
I was thinking more along the lines of the old Minardi equipment, facilities and people. Red Bull is pouring tons of cash into this deal, but it is a steep curve up into those top 3 or 4 teams. I agree with many of your comments about DC, he's a good guy, and got the shaft over at McLaren. Should of had a WC, but was forced to play 2nd fiddle to Mika. DC also showed how good he was with the improved showing for his team last year using the old Jag stuff.

I hear ya, and I too have those concerns, but I suspect they will throw away more of Paul Stoddard's shit than they keep... Well at least this is what I say when I cross my fingers.
