Something tells me that the de-tuned V10's will end up not showing well. If I had to chose between an engine with top end performance restrictions vs. an engine with no performance restrictions, I'd go with the latter even if it's new and unproven. The teams with the best V8's will win the constructor's championship.

Ironically enough, as per the de-tuning rules as they are now, the V10s seem to have a power advantage over the V8s. Plus, you have to consider the V8s are being pushed to the absolute max to get as much power as they can, the de-tuned V10 is not working anywhere close to its limit, so reliability and multiple race strength is a huge advantage over the V8s...

Don't the V8's have a weight advantage? The lighter engine, cooling system, etc. has to give them an advantage. Right?
