Owner/driver Ed Carpenter of Indianapolis won the pole position, the first American-born pole-sitter since 2006, and the first owner/driver to sit on the pole since 1975.

This thread won't get much interest here. Everyone's into just F1.
It should be a great race Sunday. I look for Power and Castroneves to charge to the front. Dixon and Franchitti are having problems. Hopefully they can sort them out by Sunday.

If there is one Indycar race to watch, this is it. Anything can happen, and the pressure on these guys to win (much like Monaco, some guys would rather win the Indy 500 than the Indycar championship) can make some guys crack. JR was a rookie. Had one turn to go and lost it...
Or this one on the last lap last year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnXsRffhDXI
I have to say "Go Chevy" because I do some work for those teams (sorry Honda). I can't wait for the race. Great weekend of motorsports!

Don't much care about which engine wins the race as long as it is an exciting finish. The fact that there are more engine suppliers in IndyCar is part of what is attracting me to it.

Here's a good article about Tony Kanan -- so close, so often:
