Jenson's awesome Q3 lap from 2012 that put him on pole. His McLaren was the fastest in all sessions and he won the race leading from pole. Watch the video and you will hear the rev limiter kick in about 4 times on the Kemmel straight.

Lewis was my vote for driver of the day. So as much as George put in a superhuman effort on a single set, he still cheated into the win whether knowingly or inadvertently.
Max has to fight tooth and nail and scrap for points. This is good. He was stellar in the rain yesterday.

Merc bobbled that 1-2 away. George has a spectacular drive but the team let him down. The performance gained by the weight deficit was not insignificant and likely contributed to his ability to manage the tires like he did and his pace to keep Lewis behind. George made a gutsy call and made it work. Lewis deserved the win, in my book. Good race all around.

Could have been a contributing factor but I still don't blame anyone other than Merc strategists/engineers. They would have, or at least should have, known pre-race weight. Being able to account for weight lost normally during a race, they would have been able to determine that they were on the bleeding edge of weight requirements. Knowing that, they should have been able to tell George that he absolutely could not attepmt a one-stop. It was a heroic move and, at the time, I was excited for GR to give it a go. I was hoping Lewis would catch him for some last lap fireworks and did not expect George to keep Lewis behind like he did.
I honestly kind of expected a DQ or 2 due to plank infringements.
