It's a shame that there are still many with this backwards thinking. Social media is littered with toxic accounts specifically to do this too.

That's cool you got to have dinner with him. His episode on the F1:Beyond the Grid podcast was a great listen, highly recommend it. He talks about what he experienced and how him and Lewis got in touch.

Can you put me in touch with that podcast? Willy T. was a really cool, down to earth guy way back then.

Here you go. Click the link and watch it on YouTube as F1 doesn't allow embedding

Raptor,
I too got to spend over an hour with Willy at a wine bar in San Jose years ago; he was there visiting family and checking on business. Didn't know him from Adam at the time, and was incredibly generous with his time and his story.

Anyway, on top of the Beyond The Grid, there's Uppity on Netflix, which is a documentary on Willy.

I forgot to say that our dinner with Willy was at a sushi place and I got a terrible case of food poisoning that night from dinner. We always took the train from Glendale to Del Mar for the IMSA races. I was so sick that we skipped Sunday and took the train back home. We shared the train ride with some drunk Rams fans. The Rams were playiing at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, before they relocated to St. Louis. An all around bad ending to the weekend.
