Loved it. Two Honda’s on the podium and the silver arrows only get a single point for fast lap. Who would have thought that would happen? Imagine Lewis finishing a race outside the top 10. Usually he’s on the podium or points with a very rare dnf.
This was a great race and I’m happy the weather played its part. Gotta hand it to Seb to come back and finish on the podium at a race where he started his string of mistakes. Congratulations to kvyat and Toro Rosso Honda.
Just super thrilled how the race went being a Honda fan.

So Leclerc can drive into a Haas with only a fine for Ferrari but Lewis gets a five second penalty for not: Driving a damaged car around for a lap, spreading carbon shards everywhere or driving backwards on track to go around a cone.
Good job FIArari. What a crock of BS.

There's a reason a bollard is there and if he couldn't enter the pits before it, he should have taken it easy around the track and brought the car back in. They can't and shouldn't make exceptions to what is established as common practice. At Watkins Glen, two weeks ago at a track day, they sent a guy home because he reversed in the pitlane and drove back in to the paddock because he had some sort of CEL. He should have just stopped there and gotten a tow at the end of the session or talked to someone who could have pointed out the access road at the end of pit lane.
and Leclerc was released unsafely. The team was at fault. Didn't Vettel get penalized at the last race for taking out Max or do you only scrutinize the FIA when it is Lewis in the dock? Not that I approve of everything the FIA and the stewards do, but they have to apply the rules as consistently as possible.

WHAT a race!!!
You know it's a great race when they rename a corner, live on air, "the ice rink". It was sort of funny to see "the ice rink" collected anyone who put the slicks on in the middle of the race.
Also, this had to be the happiest podium I've seen in a long long time.
Lastly... THE "NEOW NEOW NEOW" GUY IS BACK! He made his return towards the end of the champagne bath at the podium.

Really! just because Lewis didn't finish in the points, the FIA is the bad guy and it takes away from all the good action on the racetrack.

Lewis saved the marshalls the potential danger of needing to go on track to retrieve chunks of front wing.

Hamilton/MB didn't seem to have an issue with the penalty for cutting the bollard.
I'd say Lewis taking the 5 sec penalty was a better outcome than limping the car around an entire lap, he would've lost more time by doing so.
