i keep choosing kobayashi in the polls thinking this race he'll break through on to the podium. instead he's breaking his pit crew. what f..........ked up race for sauber. both of those cars should have been in the points. i suspect a huge shake up to happen at mclaren. that team can not continue to slide backwards wile adding upgrades to their car. when will rotus score a one two podium? grojean has the speed, just needs better luck.
I think Kobayashi is feeling the pressure this year which is why he is making those mistakes. Perez has really stepped and has delivered. Kobayashi while consistent has not quite been able to deliver those kind of results. I hope he can find that old groove again. I still recall how he held off Button in 2009 during the Abu Dhabi race.
Coming to Williams, I see Senna going through that kind of pressure too. PM may have delivered the win, but I think Senna is the better driver. He needs to shrug off the weight of his uncle's achievements and the pressure of his team mates achievements and just focus on stringing good laps together.
Speaking of Brazilian drivers, guess who was driving a Mazda Miata at Road America in the Continental Tire Challenge Series. The race was broadcast yesterday on Speed and I did a double-take when one of the story lines of the race was Nelson Piquet driving a Miata for Freedom Autosport. Started to think, how the mighty have fallen.
The car he was driving along with the other driver did finish 7th in class though, so not bad.

Sometimes I wonder how things could have been different for Massa if Timo Glock were on the right tires in Brazil 2008
He did show an improvement, but he needs to do more to cement his place. Loved watching him battle MS on track yesterday.

Not sure how many of you caught this - McLaren has started doing a series of cartoons starting with the British GP. A new episode will be available each race weekend.

I was surprised to see a dry race at Silverstone. I made the mistake of staying up all night hoping to watch the race live and then watch the rest of the Wimbledon Men's Finals. I forgot to check here if the race was going to be on fox or not. When I did realize it was going to be at 9, it was the point of no return at 3am. Great tennis match and exciting race. Did anyone try donating money to have their picture on the RB8s?
Also, Webber will be at Red Bull for 2013, so no rumors of him going to Ferrari. Grosjean to Ferrari is an interesting thought

Update on Maria de Villota - she is doing well
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/18805548
De Villota was moved out of the neurological critical care unit at Addenbrooke's Hospital on Monday.
The statement said: "By Sunday morning, Maria was awake and able to speak to her family, which provided a very important - albeit early - indication that there were positive signs for Maria's recovery.
"Since that time, Maria has been making small but significant steps. She is no longer receiving sedation.
"Medical assessments are ongoing to monitor Maria's improving condition."
