A fellow Upstate S2KI member posted this pic on Facebook. Took this pic yesterday as he was heading to work and so I figured it was time to start the official Canadian Grand Prix discussion thread.

I voted for Lewis Hamilton. I think he will be carrying the most determination to win of all the drivers coming in to Canada. He could very well have been a winner at Monaco had the qualifying red flag not happened.
But for the flawless manner in which he has been driving so far this season, I would not be disheartened to see Sebastien Vettel win, although it'd be a welcome change to see Mark Webber, Alonso or Button take the checkered flag.

Gotta like Lewis this weekend.
Hamilton is just as fast as Vettel at race time recently, just can not match his qualifying speed. He is however, a master of this track. Something like 2 wins in 3 races here or something, I forget. Not to mention he is pissed after Montaco.
I see Hamilton qualifying second, and eventually winning the race. If he can't qualify at least second or third, I don't think he will win. Can't afford to be slowed down at the start and let the RB7 up front pull away a big gap early.

i'll go with my usual alonso...but i have a feeling he might actually win this one, ferrai is building steam lets just hope they don't blow it, i truly believe if it wasn't for the red flag he would have passed vettle in monaco, my reasoning? vettle"s tires were starting to go off

Awesome weekend coming up with the Canadian GP and 24 hours of Le Mans. I need to some how watch both without falling asleep while walking for graduation or hope that my dvr has enough space.
The medium compound tires is suppose to be a new compound right? I think McLaren and Ferrari will be strong due to their top speed, but Red Bull will be up there. I want to see how the practices look like before I make a prediction, but it might be a little obvious by then.

The medium compound tire is a new compound and will be tested by the teams for the first time in practice on Friday.
Hopefully McLaren and Ferrari will be battling it out for the top of the podium this weekend. As great as this season has been to watch, they need to spread the points out to keep the drivers chammpionship interesting.
