Xbox 360
I just had a go a the Xbox 360 whilst I was picking up a copy of V8 supercars 3.
I asked the EB salesguy if they had a demo one with a driving game and he fired it up on the big plasma tv and loaded PGR3. Big improvement over PGR2 but that was to be expected. Besides the enhanced graphics I was pleasently surprised by the controller. I always have ditched those controllers 5 minutes after buying a console and hooked up a wheel. But with this one I was actually able to play the game instead of concentrage on the control. The layout does not seem any different than before but perhaps due to the better processor on the box it is just simply more usable with a driving game.
Sadly, at $600+ I won't be buying one for a long time. My yearly video games budget is $250 and I just spent $100 on V8-3...
If you excuse me now, I have to do some laps at winton, ECreek and such... :-)

Is there Winton in V8 Supercars 3? It wasn't in 2 and I've got that but if 3 is the same sort of thing all over again with slightly better graphics I don't think I'll bother getting it.
I tried out PGR3 on the X360 as well. Graphics are amazing and the controller is one of the best I've used but there's nothing on the system that makes it a must buy at that price.

After playing for 1 hour (without reading any instructions) with all the 'realistic' options I am hooked! I love the car damage! I did about half of the V8 championship and had to retire twice due to total steering failure ... it was a blast.
And I did EC in 1:30.xxx . At least in a game I can be fast :-)
