Meh - This guy has to sell these to you otherwise take it up with E-bay's fair trading policy. I doubt any good will come of it.

I once was refused a sale on e-bay, the bloke lived in Sydney and I acquired his address. He refused but I've already transferred the money. I threattened to call the Police and he ended up selling the item to me for a diriculously low sum!

What do you mean, "to be fair"? Chris Barry is spot on: if he didn't want to sell for less than $X, he should have used a minimum bid price of $X. And, after seeing his ad, I've got even less sympathy for him- anyone who says they "reserve the right to end the auction early" is a tossbag who's just wasting bidders' time by not putting on a reserve when they clearly have one in mind.

IMHO, the negative feedback you gave him was well deserved.
