There was a thread in the last few days where a few guys went to the drag strip and posted their times, type of tires, mods. They were able to get sub 14 sec. times fairly consistently. Sorry I just can't remember any names to do a search. Maybe someone else will remember. They did say it was quite cool that day.

In the states, some guy does a B18C (Type-R) engine conversion into the Lotus Elise!

It sounds like my M-Roadster/GTS ballpark was not too far off ... being quicker then an NSX is some serious quickness.

Just curious DC2SpecR, can you make an S2000 as quick as that? Also, what (and how much) would it take?

I was dead surprise when my typeR pulled away from that 95 3.0L NSX rolling on 2nd gear and 3rd gear, unbelievable. We were doing 2nd gear on the road, and typeR pulled away, and we couldnt believe each other (me and MugenR) and went to try it again on the free way on 3rd gear and same thing happen, my conclusion is not my TypeR being fast, but it is better geared.

power mode that I had spent so far as followed:
APEXi PowerFC (fully reprogrammable computer):$2200
TODA lightweight adjustable cam gears :$700
K&N filter and ram pod:$280
header:currently i am using our own custom made stuff, copied from spoon
hi flow cat:$350
N1 Apexi exhaust with custom piping:$1100

I spent a lot of other stuff for track such as suspension, strut bars, bigger rotors and stuff, but mainly for my own safety with that reason.

And I am pretty sure, with similar mods on the S2k, it will pull some decent time.

Holy Crap!!! That's an incredible time for such mods. Does your workshop tune powerfc with partial throttle?

You ever considered a b20 vtec setup? It seems to be the new performance thing in the US nowdays.

Our workshop has a very expensive impression for dyno tuning, but a lot of ppl doesnt understand how much time we spend to get everything right, as you said about partial throttle, we do the whole map, full throttle, up to 25% throttle (where most of ppl cruise around there). We also do a road tune after dyno tune to make sure everything goes smooth as dyno doesnt tell you 100% what is gonna happen on the road when you drive it.

We had done one B20setup with high comp piston, typeR camshaft, TODA sproket, all integra typeR valve train, and head. Work out to be real real good, one thing i dont really like though, it carries massive amount for weight(disadvantage on the track), and B20 doesnt really like to rev as hard. I will try doing my car with stroker kit and high compression engine, maintain the same rev limiter so i dont have to change the style of my driving on the track, hence i will need it if i have high rev 11000rpm engine like the other typeR we have done. Even with 4.9 final drive ratio, that thing just need another adjustment to be driven on the track as the gear ratio felt a bit funny, well at least for me.
