hey Gazzer@@
like Aus pointed out , very hard to determine noises online .
a few of the guys on here goto Hanny's for all our servicing and repairs . I have been going to him since 1998 . Ive owned 4 different honda's previous to my S2000 and have done all the repairs and servicing for me
They have a vast knowledge of Honda cars , go there and ask for Robert or Peter , they wont rort you , well hopefully not
im sure they will be happy to test drive your car to help determine the problem without charging you .
hope this info helps

If you're close to Hanny's go there. If you're on the North Shore, come to my place.

thanks for the reply guys, really appreciated.
yea i will try to go to Hanny on my day off on thursday hopefully just to make sure everything is okay
i live in Castle Hill which is north west part of Sydney.
No i don't have an amp, the noise is only a fairly quite, couldn't hear it when top off. And it only happens on certain load, not during turning and braking.

If so, what you're experiencing is the big difference between roof up & roof down. The roof really magnifies all the mechanical noises. Remember that an S2000 roof has no lining (or soundproofing) like a family sedan. You're sitting in very close proximity to the gearbox & transmission shaft. With the roof up you'll hear every creak, grind, whirr & bump.
If you can't hear it with the roof down it's probably not too serious.

Gazzer, when you signed up to S2ki, did you tick the humour and sarcasm option or did you go for the straight over my head option?
I think you can go back in and edit options, this will make it much easier to diagnose in the future.
