Where \ What to buy?
Hi all,
I'll be replacing my engine and rear diff mounts shortly (along with a cv boot), and was wondering firstly - if i should stick to oem, and secondly, where's the best place to buy them from..
I have gotten prices from my local dealership, and the engine mounts are a little pricey @ approx $250 a pop an dthe rear diff mounts at approx $170 a pop...
I know M and M Honda make a set of street/racing read diff mounts .. would these be overkill or semi-harsh street driving - with the view to track one day?
In the same vane - are the spoon engine mounts overkill also?
any advice would be greatly appreciated
PS: also after a LHR outer CV boot

are you replacing these because they are wrecked?
can your engine mounts be refilled with a different compound (e.g. polyutherane instead of rubber) or something?
(don't know if this applies to the s2000)

yeh - i have a brocken diff mount and both engine mounts are cracked.. (apparently)
Not sure about refilling - i know the oem mouns are rubb/liquid .. whilst the spoon ones are just harder rubber...
I notice that the spoon kit is approx teh same cost of teh oem kit (but the spoon kit also comes with trannie mount)..
so that will more then likely be the go
but i cant seem to find any reasonably priced diff mounts (might go oem for these)

A buddy of mine got told by a dealer he had to replace his engine mounts.
He told me the symptoms and I sent him to Hannys and $150 later he had swapped CVs and no more symptoms.

cheers - will have a look at those!
the sympotms so far are that it seems sloppy - feels like its drfting a little - but not breaking traction (almost excessive body roll)...
few driveline vibrations - and a shudder from the p/s/r wheel (feels axle trampish - more prominent in the wet - around corners etc)..
