He's an easy target because some people find it easier to point fingers at authority, blaming them for causing misery and treating them unfairly, or even just for doing their job.

I am not siding with anyone, but retorting with someone's residential address is just not cricket.

I wouldn't say it 'started' there. I can't even remember where it started but Rev's post about his unpredictable right arm in the Superlap thread is one salient point. You may not have seen it as he edited it out pretty quick.

As for meeting him, I have no desire to spend any time with him, be it for a chat or other. But when someone tries to intimidate me by posting my address online I call their bluff. And I'm not one to back down easy.

Seriously, would you change rather pleasant dinner plans this evening to drive in peak hour traffic to meet some internet braggard at a time and location that was convenient for them? I know I'd want much more than a 'chat' for all that effort.

He has my address. He can choose to use it at his leisure. Or conversely maybe he should post his address. That would even things up a bit.

Please note that having the responsibility and power of being a mod doesn't limit my activities otherwise. I can still express my opinions and be an active member of this board regardless.
