There may not be any more boot space left after it's fitted in! hahaha
Especially after the handbag rack is fitted

I don't have a shoe preference for everyday driving. As long as it is not barefoot I am happy with whatever I have put on that day. BTW I hate thongs (never owned a pair) so I don't know what it is like driving with those on.
Having said that, the foot well/ seat setup in the smart is such that there is one pair of shoes I own (Johnston & Brown from '99) that I must put my left foot on the higher part of the footrest or risk it falling asleep. I never had that problem with those shoes in other cars (and those were pretty much my everyday shoes for a few years).

Two things:
1. It's not illegal to drive barefoot or in thongs.
2. It should be illegal to alternate between the use of a shift key letter-by-letter, and/or be grossly offended and indignant about a lighthearted comment clearly made in jest and directed at someone other than yourself.
