Default What shoes do people prefer driving in?

Thongs?

Runners?

None?

Driving shoes?

I prefer wearing my Asics Kayano's to drive, you can heel toe better. I don't like bare foot driving- the studs in the pedals annoys me! I would actually prefer driving in thongs rather than barefoot.

Thongs can be dangerous they catch on the pedals. I almost drive 3 hours a day to and from work barefoot. I don't like wearing shoes if I don't have to really.

Can anyone suggest why its illegal to drive barefoot?

I didn't think it was illegal to drive barefoot??

If I'm wearing thongs, I take them off when I'm driving. Which means I'm driving barefoot.

If the police would rather me drive with the thongs on then that's just stupid.

I find comfy trainers are best. I have a lot of really chunky shoes, which make it a bit harder but over time I got used to them and can heel and toe in a pinch. I can't stand driving barefoot, it just doesn't feel right.

Anything - work shoes, barefoot, thongs, brooks trainers, royals, merrels, nauticas, puma ferrari's. Yeah I have a shoe problem.

Any of the puma future lo-cats. These are basically street versions of the shoes most motorsport professionals wear.

Light and with little else but the sole for excellent pedal feel.

I hate driving in anything else!!!

I agree, I bought a pair just for driving!!!

I feel comfortable driving my own car with thongs or Adidas sneakers etc. But I can't drive with bare feet in the s2k, the pedals are just too annoying!

apparently (from memory) the police can book you for driving with thongs... its apparently illegal, but i haven't bothered looking too much into it...
