Aus, thanks for the info. Sounds fairly conclusive to me. Has anyone else who's had this problem used the same method to overcome it?

BTW, do you sell these things? How many can you make? Maybe we can all get one and get Honda to pay for them.

sorry for reviving another old topic.. but since this topic, was honda able to determine the problem and or offer a solution?
my s2k suffers with this issue and at times i have also found it potentially dangerous making my way through an intersection.

Well I have one that I was intending to sell (black). Reason? I couldn't get it to fit properly to my car. Has a couple of slight scratches but nothing major.
