sorry for reviving another old topic.. but since this topic, was honda able to determine the problem and or offer a solution?
my s2k suffers with this issue and at times i have also found it potentially dangerous making my way through an intersection.

Well I have one that I was intending to sell (black). Reason? I couldn't get it to fit properly to my car. Has a couple of slight scratches but nothing major.
