VAFC Settings for Oz

toda au, how is AusS2000's new beast going?
I think you are the first person in Aus to tune an Emanage on the S2k. Do you have any tips for tuning/setting up the Emanage? Is the 440cc injector big enough? Any trouble/dilema so far?
Thx
Oh the Vortech FMU is 10:1 if this help

Well to be honest, as it's not my own personal vehicle...
I'm not really at liberty to say exactly what's being done & or how things are going...
I will say that it's coming along nicely...
The results so far are pleasing and I expect to be well impressed with the eng result

As far as I'm concerned the status of my vehicle can be openly discussed here in this forum. As you saw from my previous reports on the first efforts at tuning my car with SC and VAFC I am not afraid of the truth nor trying to prove anything.
In answer to an earlier question by H9k, my original tuning was done initially by C&V (not impressed) and then by Powerdigger. Whereas Powerdigger did an admirable job after the stuff up by C&V, and seeing as they are not even really a tuning house but a manufacturer and distributor of products who happen to have a dyno, I will say nothing bad about them. They spent a lot of time on my car and charged me very little. That said, removing the VAFC and resetting the ECU did result in a power gain.
When I took the car to Advan (Toda AU) I had just installed the bigger injectors and gave them the impression I expected them to tweak the E-manage to adjust the A/F and hey presto! instant power. Turns out it is a little more involved than that. The injectors/E-manage are an alternative to a rising rate regulator, so they've pulled the Comptech unit. They tried the stock unit but it couldn't return enough fuel so was still rich. So they installed a SARD unit and are getting better results. I said if we are going to this trouble might as well throw in the smaller pulley, so it now needs to be tuned for that as well. Added to that some questions about my E-manage wiring and what looked like a simple job has turned into something of a saga. All this two weeks before xmas and Advan have a workshop full of cars to get through.
So whereas I am eager to get my car back running nicely with extra power I am also greatly appreciative of Toda AU's efforts at this late stage of the year.

I can definately feel it pulls harder at the top of the range in V-Tec, but still feels a little sluggish down low especially off the mark.
Do you guys (Auss2000 & honda9krpm) see any reason why when looking at these settings.
They seem very conservative when compared to yours, dont you think?

They are very conservative settings. If you 0 evrything below 6000 rpm you will be effectively stock below VTEC, so you shouldn't lose anything. Keep the upper setting as as they are and you've got the good without the bad.
BTW, we got 214Kw at the wheels with the smaller pulley. It just reaches 8lbs at 9000rpm so it's not quite as aggressive as I thought. The car goes very hard from about 4K onwards and just screams in VTEC. We still have some off idle gremlins to squish but they will be worked out shortly.
