Getting a gain at the peak of 6rwkw on top of your setting is a bloody good gain for a NA car. You probably have some more gain in low rev with the VAFC as well....but I have not seen your dyno and dont like to comment on it
Could you post a before and after dyno printout? How much power have you got at the wheel now?
The VAFC generally smooths out the VTEC transition (if tuned correctly) and probably made you feel like the car has loss power, when it's actually has more "power under the curve"
Setting the Vtec on earlier will result in power loss/dip. You may actually feel a better kick out of this but it's still a loss of "power under the curve"

Get wayne to look at your settings. If you are still not happy with it, do some research on the VAFC setting thread (it's very long now) and bring it back to your tuner.
BTW 6rwkw extra on top of your setup is a good bang for your buck for such a p'n'p setup. Generally I found that most tuners are clueless about the VAFC and lead to the misconfusion of how unuseful this thing is. It's best that you read up on it before getting it tuned. I have tuned my VAFC many times now and everytime that's it's done I was always in the passenger seat doing most of the tuning with my tuner But if your tuner could get 6kw extra he must had some experience with it

Thanks hpnda9krpm

I feel like I have lost some performance down low (maybe its my imagination). Seems to bog down a bit when taking off.

It seeems like they have set V-Tec to L-H 5900 rpm &
H-L 5700 rpm.

Also the little engine light came on the other night but it went away once i turned the car off.

I know they were a little scared of leaning the car out too much so they might have been a little conservative.

TTM pat, thats my friend's S, we installed a Mugen headers on it last weekend it seems to improve great power gain on the top end.

that's a fairly interesting observation qk2000
it's general belief that spoon improves top end and mugen improves bottom end
is there any other mods with this car?

Guys... Though you don't want to hear the truth...
Fact is... The VAFC is a pile of crap... And a complete waste of money...
When you add fuel, you reduce timing...
When you reduce fuel you add timing...
It does this by altering the output signal from the MAP sensor... Honestly, for such an expensive car, it is really a rather silly way to tune your engine...
Sure, it's fine on a Vti civic... D-series engines are a dime a dozen... F20C's on the other hand are somewhat more expensive...
Anyway... Before you all attack me... It's just a thought...

Btw: TODA headers make more power than mugen ones...
With back to back dyno test to prove it too... & they're cheaper...

is this peak power or mid range power?
How does the toda compare to spoon?

Do you have any before and after dyno with toda headers + Vortech?

H9K, we didn't dyno the car, we just took it for a drive and we thought that the vtec cuts in harder than the oem headers... but yes no prove may be it was just in the mind.

what is wrong with this?
Motec stand alone unit could only squeeze out 1-2kw extra compare to VAFC + stock ECU. It cost close to $5000 for supply and tune.
Mugen/ Spoon/??Amuse ECU could only gain a few extra compare to stock ECU.
Why is the VAFC not the best bang for your buck?
I've got the result (independently) to prove the gain. Chuckie got proven gain as well. The yankie love this VAFC and had proven gain as well.

Sorry toda au, but I don't really know why only some pple in the OZ forum think this is crap. What are the proof? Let's talk with real hard evidence.

BTW If I have inexhaustible amount of money I would listen to my tuner and got the Motec. My tuner, Martin Donnon, is one of the best in Australia at tuning Motec. Unfortunately I dont have the $$$$ to waste for a 1-2 rwkw difference. I would rather waste that on the supercharger

C'mon... Any ECU (Pseudo or otherwise) on a near stock S2K is a waste of money...

The TODA headers are ahead of the Mugen items in power and torque from 2000rpm to 8890rpm. Have dyno...

I've driven a supercharged S2K... (US kit)
Not impressed... IMO Spec A's + Motec is faster...
Might find out soon on the track anyway...

For best bang for bucks... Use E-manage...
