This is taken from the Top Gear website... interesting. Seems that it might have lost some of it's "harder" edge to both performance and suspension settings. Aus mate, seems Honda has also taken your idea of the gear-box cover.... bastards !

I wrote into MOTOR Magazine and was given the reply that the Aussie 2002 is the same spec as the UK version, with the tweaked rear-end. I was also told that the tweaking was to address the previous model's happy tail. We both agreed that Honda did some seem to be telling anyone about these mechanical changes, no matter how minor (or major), and instead focussing on the cosmetic type changes, eg glass window and new stereo.

Wonder why Honda is keeping the rear end tweaking a secret? Perhaps they didn't want to admit the original S2000 rear end had a "problem"? Who knows...

FYI, the up coming MOTOR issue has some comparo involving the S2000 MY2002. Should make some interesting reading.
