Default Someone Forgot to ....

Few days ago, i went to TAFE, and me being in late which isnt common, parked just outside of tafe, i only had a 20min class so i thought, hey, no harm can be done to the car..

when i come back to my car, i see from behind a commodore, park ever so clsoe from behind me, i was WOW, his close, he better not have hit me.
To my disbelief, i go up to my car and find that his car has rolled into the back of my S2000, as furious and about to go skitz, i pondered how anyone could be so stupid to park so close, and not know he hit the car infront of them.

So then i check around, and looked inside his car, what do you know? he forgets to put up the Handbrakes, shortly after he came back, calmly telling him the situation ( you could tell he didn't understand english properly ), he just said vaguely sorry and took off, i checked the car to find no damage from behind, and i have written down his Plate number becucase i was to busy making sure my car was alright, now im thinking what i should do?

Was it okay to let him of that easy? or was it a good idea to take action towards him?

what would you have done?
