Default Soft top convertion to glass

Hello,
My plastic window on my soft top is starting to age and has a good 10cm or so tear in it on the bottom.
And while looking to repair the damage, I was thinking of changing it to a glass window one.
However, running in to some trouble where no one seems to know where they ofer this in Aust.
And no one is really confident in repairing it either.

So wondering if any here have done this conversion?
If they have any help would be great!

Thank you very much,

King has. Used the Robbins top.

I have a honda glass window roof but haven't installed yet.

There are comprehensive instructions in a PDF on the baord somewhere if you search.

you might want to speak to Kingair about it . As he has some quality issues with his new roof - glue coming loose . However the supplier is sending him a new / replacement roof .

If you go to a good auto trimmer , you can get your plastic window replaced for about $300 . Well thats what i can get it done for in Syd .

Hi Vuey,
Really?
Where can you do that?
I do need a replacement of any sort either to another plastic or glass as my plastic window is pretty bad!
Can you tell me who to contact?
For $300 I would get my plastic window replaced.
Maybe there are some others that wants it done too and get it done for a better price? Although I'm sure it already is a very good price....

Thank you and please let me know.

most good Auto trimmers will be able to do it for you .

unfortunately , i dont know of any contacts in Melbourne . however , im sure if you purchased a modified car mag such "Hot 4's" or "auto Salon magazine" you will find ad's for such trimmers .Go check out their work and go from there .

sorry i cant be more of assistance

I used these guys on my old MX-5, when it's back window died.

Blackman & Sons Pty Ltd (Mtr Car Trimrs)
84 Cochranes Rd Moorabbin 3189(03) 9532 5338
77 Levanswell Rd Moorabbin 3189(03) 9532 5220

I think I used the Levanswell address...but it was a few years ago now (3+ at least).

The quality of the work was good at the time - absolutely no complaints with the job they did. Best of all, the manager actually talked me out of replacing the whole roof (which I thought I needed to be done), instead recommended only replacing the back window. Also took the time to show me how to fix the door seals myself.

Not sure if anyone else has more recent experience...

LOL, Vuey is often even confused about his own location. Sometimes he thinks he's in Sydney, othertimes Melbourne. We know he is a paid up card carry citizen of Vueyville.
