I'm such a hypocrite!!!!!

I bought an R33 after all that I said... LOL

Still though, it does feel heavy (so I still agree with my heavy comment) and you realise the size once you get into the tight twisties with several s2000's infront of you.

Amazing how times change.

I was sold when I test drove the skyline after driving and looking at so many thrashed s14 200sx's.

wil..

I thought that V-spec and M-spec were basically various types of suspension tune (bushes, springs and dampers).

V-spec - King dick (i.e. Nuburgring) handling package - teeth rattling ride

M-spec - slightly compromised handling but a better ride/absorbs short harsh impacts better.

V-spec II - revised king dick handling package. almost the equivalent of V-spec 1 but with a much better ride.

Anyone want to confirm this?

RR - I'm suprised at the Supra beating the GTR. All things being equal (driver & mods) I'd expect a GTR to win. A modded Supra or GTR is a dead-set weapon.

It's funny though how we can all have very different opinions. I really like the look of the Skyline. I don't particularly like the looks of the Supra. IMNSHO of course.

But there is a real stigma attached to Skylines in Sydney. People expect the driver to be of Mediterranean origin and be wearing an Adidas twin set.

tafka TMB, go back through some of the old results from Phillip Island. You'll see there's a couple of Supras that do better times than the Skylines.

haha sort of the same here in Melbourne...I could roughly guess that about hmm...65% of skyline drivers are on there P's here, about 40% of them wear the twin set ...

By the way...do you my friends old car? yep you love it...

Well Supra owners have for years been insisting that they are the only match for the skylines.

Weird though, wasn't the R-34 a 6 gear? This one is listed as 5 gear.

But seriously I dont think the stock skylines are that impressive. Of course if ur seriously gonna put in lots of cash and mod it then ur going to have a beast.
From what I have heard in Japan, Supra v Skyline seems to be popular in different regions (eg North v South). Both cars are capable of doing 10 second quarters in states of high tune.

The supra is also seen as a very bulletproof car.
