Well the price range checks out okay for a car of that age with those miles...although they are a bit low but some people might not drive as much.
The rest of it really comes down to a personal decision. If you REALLY don't like red... then I would suggest you wait and look around for something you like. Because once you get a colour you're stuck with it.
I got my red S2000 about 3 weeks ago... I really like the red.. its much deeper than other manufacturers reds

when buying 2nd hand colour should be last on your list.
If the car is good, feels good, drives well, has been well looked after, etc. and you like it, ask yourself if you are willing to wait several more months just to find a black one in a similar condition.
The black one you find might not be in as good condition either.

who is going to take ur engine out tho if u respray??
thats always the hardest part about getting compliance from a respray, removing the engine to spray the engine bay
as far as a 99 goes, i thought $35k was about the normal price

This is a re-post from an old thread but it might help you decide on colour ......
Choosing the colour is an emotional decision. If you don't have a wife to do it for you, then you're going to have to make the decision for yourself. No outsider can do it for you.
You have to close your eyes and look into your soul and FEEL which is the right colour for you. You have to go out onto the street and look at various colours and decide which suits you best.
You need a colour to suit your age and personality and so I have derived this unique guide to personality types by colour..............
Yellow - Look at me, posers & serious trackies
Red - Boy Racers & regular trackies
White - pretty boys
Nurburgring Blue - contrarians & lone wolf types
Black - cheap low-class hoons
MC Blue - older, more sophisticated
Silver - practical, commonsense types & lazy ones who don't like washing
I'll now go and
before everyone me.

But in any case, color preference is a personal choice. You'll have to decide that for yourself.
Since you've checked the car out and it's fine so far, good luck in thinking about the color then

If you don't think you're going to be happy then I would say hold out, if you can afford to wait. It's Xmas now so potentially more cars will come onto the market when people get back from holidays ....
Also regarding the respray option. Yes it's an option but not one that I would take personally. Because the difference between an average respray and a good one is a lot of $$$. Also when it comes to reselling and stuff some people are a bit dodgy about buying a car that doesn't match it's paint code. But that's just me personally....

dablueangel, nice low mileage on it. Test drive it thoroughly to see if anything crops up (regular stuff like synchros etc). You could probably upgrade the rear window to a glass one with some DIYing. And the golden rule is don't buy it if you're not comfortable with it.
Dan, love your writeups from https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...pic=342973&hl=
I can't believe you've kept the pics from ancient history. It's a good thing we have you here to archive those pics for posterity! Good on ya!
