How did his collar bone recover so quickly?
How did he manage to lose so much weight so quickly?.
Those things don't just happen without some "external influence".
We all know about diuretics masking ability. We also know that sportsmen at his level would be extremely conscious of the possible repercussions of taking "any old tablet" their mother gave them, especially when they are undergoing treatment by sports medicine specialists..
As far as I am concerned, Warne knew exactly what he was doing and deserves to pay the penalty.
Pity, John Saffran can't get the old "remote control seagull" going again - this time as a pillpopper!!

He's just plain old STUPID....
Look at the way he read out his own statement, upon arriving at Melbourne airport - can you say monotone?!
Looks like he'll just have to play with his Ferrari 360 Spyder, for the next 2 years?!

Athletes commit their life to their sport and training and I am sure that no matter how stupid they are, this is means enough to monitor what goes down their throats.
IMO Warne just got desperate when his fairy tale ending got snatched away with his shoulder injury. But can you blame him? The service on those Spyders isnt cheap you know! OK this comment is not probably not fair but it is only my assumption.
Guys like Warne will never grasp the responsibilities that are forced upon them as televised athletes.

I agree with AustBlue. Didn't want to lose the fairy tale, thought "It can't happen to me".
That said, considering his smoking whilst sponsored by Nicabate, one fingered salutes, and smutty telephone calls, I think we can safely say he is stoopid!
Warne: 'Honestly darling, that wasn't a smutty telephone call. That was my dealer!'
Warne's wife: 'Don't talk about your mum like that!'

ok here's something.
anone remember Adam MacDougall, the Newcastle Knights and Australian winger with the huge legs.
Anyway back in 97 when i was in Uni, i bumped into a guy wearing a Knights warm up jersey hobbling on crutches. I had seen him in lectures before and thought nothing of him, he wasn't overly huge or presented himself as an imposing force. i started talking to him about general economics stuff and asked him about his foot, and he said he injured it playing football.
iasked him was it for the knights jersey flegg side and he said "no, the first grade side" and i was like yeah right but one of my mates said that he was telling the truth
anyway, about a month and a half later, this guy is playing in the grand finals against manly and stomping on Tooveys skull.
later on it comes out that he's been using some form of testosterone booster (which he claims was some medical tablets to boost his low testosterone levels, yeah like he was growing tits).
everybody from newcastle who is in the know, knows that the knights use it (roids) and that they use special (read diuretics) drugs to mask it.
warney fcuked up, coz there is no way that anyone can come back from that type of injury so quickly without help from the "go-go juice"

Really, what is it about Australian sports stars and their mums. The media loves them! Whenever anything happens they interview the stars mum.
Good on yer warnie, piss your mum off and she won't give you beans on toast anymore! I feel sorry for his wife ....

A guy that I played footy with a couple of years back was actually prescribed roids for a blood problem which I cant remember details. He was a talented footy player then but lanky.
Now he plays 1st grade with the west tigers.
Mind you a lot of my team mates went on to play 1st grade and I guarantee that they did so under their own steam.
Thats what annoys me so much, these selfish athletes that cheat and get in over the honest hard workers.
