That was a great drive. Still buzzing here from it.
I never realised we had scenery with roads like that so "close" to Sydney.
I too had to pull off the freeway to fuel up. First time ever that the car was given Vortex instead of Optimax.
YAY WHAT A FUN DRIVE!! I loved it!!!!!! really!!!

BTW, a bit of explanation on the navigation.
I rang the Swells (HSCC Membership Secretary) last week for some info about the route. I've done it a few times the other way around and once with the HSCC the same way, but I was following and not paying enough attention to times and turns. Swells was keen to come along and check out Tamburlaine and Cafe Enzo for a future HSCC run so I figured I didn't need too much info as he would lead. Unfortunately he had to pull out at the last minute.
I apologise for the lack of maps and any wrong turns (there is a much quicker way to Tamburlaine without the 50K zones of Cessnock). Still, glad it all worked out and it looked like everyone had a good time. The Putty Rd sure is a great stretch of bitumen and the boys in blue are nice enough not to patrol it too diligently.

i've got a few good'ish pictures . One of a large portion of the group too. For some reason I know people that like pictures of things other than "inanimate" objects....
Hey, nice pic of my car with all the poor squashed bugs on the front

Good thing we didn't encounter any of the boys in blue on the way there..
Dan and the rest of us hit about 176 or something while trying to catch up!!! Plus I kinda figured if they were gonna catch anyone they would've caught you guys up front first
Stan, in hindsight I should've done the same. You know I was driving the rest of the way home "listening" out for pinging. I'm silly
