S2000 vs 350Z
Hi all,
not long ago i asked you guys for some advice on purchasing an S2000, heehee.....
regretfully i haven't been able to get it yet.......holding back to consider with other cars esp..the new ones coming in..
how is the 350Z compared to the S2000?????........very confused, been driving my good ol civic for 3 yrs now...and very happy with honda..as i previously droved my parents car when i was living with them................just need some advice to give me the greenlight for the S...kinda got confused with all the 'up coming' cars esp after the motor show and hypes abt mazda's and nissan's supercars

It's all a question of personal taste but I think the 350Z looks hideous - sort of like a World War 1 German army tank with wheels instead of caterpillar tracks.

I have to agree with 2kturkey -- I think that the 350Z is quite an ugly car. I was in Atlanta last week and saw one on the street. I was not impressed at all. Unfortunately, it looks much better in the pictures I've seen.

I rather like the 350Z. Sort of like a TT, but you can tell which end is which.
Buts it's not a convertible, and I expect the convertible will be much more expensive and much less rigid.

There was a comparison between the S2K and Z few months ago in Motor or Wheels Magazine...(can't remember which issue).
I think they said that the S2K still had the best Gear Box, but the Z was value for money (starting at $59K)!

Like the man said it's a matter of taste. I am a Z car fanatic as the name suggests, but the S has sex appeal and everything you could want in a fine sports car. I bought the S and I am living la vida loca.
Zcar.
Zcar.

In a 350z you will be able to extract the performance fairly effortlessly. Ultimately I would expect both cars to be equally fast with good drivers.
Due to its lighter weight and firmer suspension I would expect the S2000 to handle better.
S2000 is a convertible.
Nissan probably have better customer service than Honda and honour their warranties.

You can put lipstick on a pig but at the end of the day it's still a pig (i.e. VW Golf).
