i hope so!

does any know how long the breaking in period is (i know with my g/f its been 7 years already - and still not broken in)..

but seriously - i have left it latched for a couple of weeks now.. does anyone know how long it should take - b4 i start to worry (more)..

btw - thanks Aus - you have set my mind at ease!

was throwing mini tantrums last night
yep definitely needs breaking in..

mine was hanging about 2 inches off..

me and my girlfriend were literally hang on the roof to try and get it close..
to her feminine capabilities she wasn't much help and i had to call another mate around to her me get it closed..

leave it on for around 2 weeks closed.. preferably in the sun and you should be aiight..

it still gets pretty tight now but it all good to open and close yourself..

hope it works out for ya..

Cheers zero33...

Did yours ever get to the stage where it locks into place by itself?

Same here. The instruction, if any good mechanic care to give to the consumer these days, is to leave the car park in the sun for some time to allow the roof to stretch. It gets better with use and try to leave the roof up for as long as you can.

ahh - cool - so just to clarify ...

if i can close it myself (with a little force), after 2 weeks of having it on (little sun here in melb atm).. then i'm not doing too badly, and i shouldnt worry?

Thanks heaps guys.....

Now to do my fuel filter and put the parcel shelf / interior back together.....

not looking forward to that

huh? it will never latch itself.. you will still need to do that, i mean it get close to the OEM roof ie, getting really close to the edge for easy latch clickin.. ahhahah

cool - i understand it wont latch itself - that would be plain lazy

but yeh - i meant with the old roof - the pin would locate properly (before the latching).. ie - so you dont need to pull dowwn on the roof to latch it...

umm.. it should or should definitely come close.. won't be 100% coz it still new but give it time i sure it would get to the way your OEM was..

also the wrinkles on the sides.. did you screw everything in, ie, the plastic strip that was to replace the OEM ones?

That looks exactly like one of the problems I had with my
first Robbins top. After a bit of stuffing around Robbins
replaced and organised for it to be fitted.
