Default Robbins aftermarket roof problems also

Hi all...

I had a robbins top fitted to a spare frame (which i bought 2nd hand).
I tested the frame before the fitting of the robins top - all was good..

After the top was fitted (by someone who has done a few).. the roof sits approx 1 inch too high when closing.. and the P/S striker doesn't seem to align to well either..

I basically have to hold the roof by the handle (with some force) until the strikers lock into position - then i can close the latches...

I have adjusted the link stops - and they dont seem to fix this problem..

Any ideas?

here are some pics:

Isn't this just normal new roof tightness?

i had this problem too, does the roof operate up and down normally? If it does then maybe it is due to the canvas being installed too tightly, how tight is the fabric when its in the closed position?

Well they fixed up the grounding wires for the motors, now it goes up and down really quickly and closes right up to the frame with no problems at all...

Maybe it has something to do with this second frame your using?

did you try taking it back to the person who fitted it for you? Maybe they can help you with this?
