I know he wasn't on this forum, but i felt the need to post this somewhere on the web

A mate took his own life on the on the weekend and want people to know who he was..

Rest in peace neil... you are a great mate to many of us in melbourne and i hope you remembered to take your snowboard with ya..

he went to carey, lived in ivanhoe, 23 years old, he was a top snowboarder.

had a sh*t load of friends and next to no enemies - so pretty good track record i say!

you just gotta feel for the family in these situations.. only child and all..

makes you realise that you gotta appreciate your friendships while you still got them..

I'm sure Neil had his reasons and I know I've suffered from depression but I can;t help but think he took the easy way out and did a lot of damage in the process.

actually it wasn't clinical depression - but this isnt the place to be discussing why it happened..

and, i don't want to argue with you on this, because as they say, opinions are like assholes... but - after hearing how he did it - it didn't sound like a very easy way at all...

lants' brother took his own life a few years ago.. for some people its not the easy way out.. it's the only way.

and what death doesn't cause damage?

Sorry to hear about the sad news replicah...

I went to carey aswell, I'll have a look at the school photos to see if i can remember him, because he does sound familiar (he would've been a year above me)...
