Default Removing dash control panel

The down volume button on the control panel has stopped working, feels broken

Had a quick look trying to remove the panel
has anyone managed to do this before WITHOUT removing the steering wheel?

I've done it by dropping the steering column. You loosen or remove the bolts holding the column up. This gives you enough room to remove the shroud around the column. Then you can remove the cluster surround with the audio controls attached.

Steve recently installed a gauge in place of the mode button and I think he managed to get the audio controls out without removing anything but I think me made a bit of a mess of the plastic.
