Removing that black strip on your front window
Parking under a low roof I managed to understimate the height of the car and managed to rip off a bit of that black strip that can be removed from the border of the front windscreen.
Naturally I started tearing it off but then stopped after a 4cm square because I noticed it wasnt coming off as easily. Since I have started to get rid of it I was wondering are there any places than can replace this strip or alternatively the proper way to remove this? ( I asked Vuey briefly last drive day but I need some more in depth instructions )
Search function pulls up all sorts of weird stuff.

Yep, all of the above. You can also get stuff specifically for removing stick stuff. Goo-Gone is one.
Oh and leave the car out in the sun a while.
A nice plastic scraper is good too. Modifry sells one.

hey Fng
do a search , i recall doing a thread on it .
i pretty much did it the hard way , just start peeling the tape back staring from the bottom . slowly peel it back , as its been on the car for over 8yrs , its going to leave behind alot of residue/sticky stuff . I looked up all the help from the guys who have done it in the US , alot of them used baby oil , bug/tar remover etc , but i found that WD-40 worked best to remove the remaining goo . Just spray a shit load on and and let it soak in and start scrapping it off carefully with a plastic scapper from Bunnings . Takes abit of time , but worth it IMO.
Let me know if you need any help .
