Rear bumper tab relocation

Rear bumper tab relocation
Hi guys, I'm in the process of purchasing some wheels with lower than usual offsets and I've read on the forums that relocating the rear bumper tabs will reduce the amount of rubbing in the rears. I was wondering if anyone local has done this before, and whether you guys know a place in Sydney that could do this job for me.
Thanks in advance for the heads up
Johnnie

hmmm , if the offsets are for the S then you will experience rubbing on your rear guards rather than your rear bumper .
You can try Tempe tyres for rolling your rear guards if thats whats needed , it will set you back about $120 for the pair to be rolled .

what size rim and offset will you be running?
Wheel and Tyre width?
How low from stock will you be going?
FYI ...
For 18 inch wheels, any offset lower than 18 x 9 +44 for the rear will rub.
You will need to roll the guard and shave slightly the inside edge on both sides of the rear bumper. Really depends how low you want to go.
My 2 cents ...

yeh i had to move the rear bumper screw back about 1" from its existing location. As my tyres were rubbing against the screw position.
pretty simple procedure. i just took off the original screw and used a small hammer to bash the mount upwards. Then used a self tappering screw for the new location.
