Default Pro Steel Base Racing Seat

http://www.soldsmart.com.au/l3.aspx?goods=CS7701BK

Looks like a knock off of some JDM brand. The description says "steel base", but the actual seat structure looks like fiberglass or some composite.

Anyone got one of these in their S2k? Pretty darn cheap for a nice looking seat, but I'm not sure I'd hop on a track wrapped in these.

First thing to do would be find out which international standard they are manufactured to.

TBH track or street shouldn't make a difference in your decision for a seat, you're probably more likely to test it out on the street if anything.

Chances are it is a steel base and frame with a fibre reinforced plastic or something like that and yes you get what you pay for.

I've sat in one installed in a car (not an s2k), and driven around. Very supportive. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE!!!!

...and I rarely care about ride "comfort". Now that's saying something.
