As my S is my daily drive , i was really looking for alternatives to forced induction and bolt on hardware ( exhaust / headers etc ) . As i want to keep my car pretty much mechanically stock .
With the "promises" of Powerchip , it was ideal for what gains i wanted . Just wanted a few more horse's for the occassional "red light" drag race against those blasted WRX's and your fully modded 200sx's .

I don't see how springs are any different from say headers from a modification point of view. In fact I can install or remove a header much quicker than I can springs.
As for racing WRXs and 200sxs, forget it. You won't stand a chance with those wheels.

Oh , im haven't got $1495 to just throw away ......
i just want to check it out . Just want to see for myself what kind of gains , if any are to come from fitting one of these chips .
They have been around for 15 yrs , so im just going to have a look .
but thanks for your input ... i will definitely bring it up with them and see how they respond to it .

If you want a little more horsepower and torque, and improved low down driveability - I suggest you put in a simple cold air intake, remove all the baffles from the air box and use a K & N air filter. I have done this to my S2000 and got the improvements mentioned above.

Off the shelf chips are a waste of time. The only benefits you can get with a chip is with something like a Mugen chip and hours & hours on the dyno setting it up for a gain of about 20 bhp max.

Hey Muz, that link doesn't seem to work - "menu disabled". Can you suggest an alternative?
