Default paint job

hey guys ... i think i have found a MY06 s2000 that is within my budget, i will be checking it out this weekend but the only problem i have is that it is SILVER ..

nothing against silver S2Ks .. but its just not the colour i want, and since 4 out 5 used s2ks out there are silver i might as well find a good condition MY and perhaps do a paint job later on.

so my question is .. do any of you guys know where i could repaint my car? how much? and how long would it be in the shop for?

the car is MY06 - $54k - 30000kms ... black interior (was hoping to find one with red/black interior) good price?

thanks dudes.

what color did you want to repsray to?

a proper paint job incl engine bay would be about the $5000 mark, when it comes to paint job its usually whaty you pay is what you get.

Imo, i dont think its worth it because it will hurt the resale value of the car.

i have a Silverstone S atm and have thought about respraying it to moonrock or GPW....but due to the reasoning above i have held off.

i would love to re-spray it to LBP or a similar blue .. i have only seen one LBP ever back in 05 .. was actually hoping that it would be on sale if the owner changes cars every 3years.

not too fussed about resale .. plan to keep it for a long time.

pearl white would also be nice.

wish i had the money to buy brand new but unfortunately thats not the case.

i would wait .. but having only seen one LBP the chances are slim.

LBP = Laguna blue ?

if thats the colour, then yes they did, saw one in Melb last yr for sale at the honda` dealership in Doncaster .

if your going to respray, dont go for a boring factory colour IMO .

i once got my S quoted for a repsray from a reputable panel beater and for a 5 Star job , it was $8k. and would take about 4-6 weeks to complete.
