i'm assuming the flywheel is a single mass unit?

if you fit a lightweight flywheel in it, does the car suffer from clutch rattles at low revs?

i think i'm down for a new clutch in the next 10-15 thou kms so yes it looks like i better start saving!

I guess with s2k the honda OEM clutch kit is expensive just because its honda. Aftermarket brands seem to be quite expensive as well; i think for my next clutch i'll pop in a exedy sports tuff heavy duty organic clutch hopefully that will last a bit longer, of course before i do this i'll have to clear it with honda to make sure it doesnt 'void my warranty'

When Honda agreed to replace my clutch they wouldn't come to the party on an aftermarket replacement. Their main concern (whether we agree with it or not) was that if another part of the drivetrain fails as a result of the heavier duty clutch then their work wouldn't be covered.

This car certainly does seem to go through the clutches. Just look at the number of owners who have replaced theirs. My theory is that some owners, either intentionally or inadvertently, slip the clutch a little bit when they take off due to the lack of low-down torque with this car. It's just a theory however.

I'd also add that many modern drivers don't like to use the handbrake and use the clutch to hold the car when stopping at uphill traffic lights.

who does that??? i use the brake and then engage the gears, then take off, why would u use the clutch on a hill waiting at lights, seems excessive.
i had my clutch replaces at around 20k km due to a warranty claim for buzzing, and its at 78k km and no problems so far

blacks2k - yeah i have a warranty on my car until 178,000kms or another 2.5 years from now. Its not a new car warranty but its an extended honda warranty that was supplied when i bought the car

yeah using the clutch to hold the car on a hill at traffic lights is sh!t driving. my mate used to do that and after a while you can hear the clutch slipping/grinding. If you have been driving manual for like a little while you should be able to take your foot off the brake and clutch out on a hill without rolling back at all

i thought the honda warranty was only 2 years, well, i guess u r lucky then to have that extra cover.
u could try and make a claim with a clutch buzz and get a new clutch, thats if it buzzes

It depends how bad the buzz is. They don't just replace them willy nilly.
