Default OEM clutch price?

Between Honda & my dealership they have agreed to cover 75% of the cost of a new clutch for me (2nd clutch replacement since new). Anyone know the price of the OEM clutch fitted? My last one was a freebie so didn't bother to ask at the time.

Peter Warren @ Warwick Farm (Sydney) had quoted me $2100 fitted when i was in need of another clutch.
I opted to go with Hanny's Performance for $1700 fitted.

Wow that's really expensive for a clutch replacement isn't it? Do you know if most of that cost is the actual clutch itself or the labour?

Honda quoted me $1800 for the parts & $300 for the labour.
I was lucky that Hannys did the whole kit n kaboodle for $1700 (probably because i always go there for any work needed even with my previous hondas).

My dealership was satisfied with the case I put to them I guess. It wasn't a walk in the park by any means though.

hi guys,

got a new clutch in mine 2 weeks ago, cost $849.10, including the machining of the flywheel, but minus the cost of labour. had the engine replaced so the engine was already out of the car.

regards

Long story but it goes like this ---Got mine replaced for free in Feb 2004. Honda representative approved it. Booked in to get done then it was delayed till march as dealer 's workshop was too busy.

When the job was completed I was told that honda changed their mind on the deal as the representative who worked at honda had left and the jod was completed just a few days over 3 yrs warranty. However they finally agreed to do it for nothing as as dealer fought hard for me.

I was never going to pay for it anyway as I was told it would be done for free. It was always a dispute between the dealership and honda Aust.

wow, the clutch parts for the rs4 are only $800, the flywheel is $2500 and can't be machined, and the labour is about 8-9 hours.

so the honda clutch is relatively expensive.
