I have been a member of the Liberal party since being old enough to vote (don't hold this against me in future posts).

For the first time EVER, I am ashamed of a fellow party member. This guy is embarrassing...sounds like some redneck from Bacchus Marsh 40 years ago!

I have met Justice Michael Kirby a couple of times and find him to be a most honorable, proper and gentle person...a man worthy of his post.

This is unsurprising for Heffernan - he has a reputation going back many years. Once again I'm disappointed to see "ole reactionary John" hopping on the bandwagon, however.

 

I was reading about this at brekky today. It's a bit like the Governor General thing. An accusation has been made public and as a result we are polarised about the issue without actually knowing any facts.

IMHO it would appear Hefferman () is a bit of an overzealous pedophile hunter.

Justice Kirby (curbcrawler?) has sexual tastes slightly outside what the pruder elements of society call 'the norm'. That's not illegal these days.

If it turns out that Kirby is a pedophile using his government vehicle to peruse the 'Wall' for young blood then I say throw the book at him. But he's innocent until proven guilty.

If it turns out Heffernan is an overjealous muck raker with an alternative political agenda then I guess his career is finally over. Franka Arena II.

 

Interesting parallels drawn...however I think in this circumstance, there is overwhelming support for Justice Kirby whilst bottom dweller Hefferman has been universally criticised.

ps: Next year's Mardi Gras floats should be a doozy...Hefferman's head on a platter (ala Fred Nile)?
