NSW: Drive Day?

I had the same problem. Had both CVs replaced. Bill was $1800 but it was under warranty.

Keep in mind that if you just swap them over you will have the same problem again in a short period of time.

But if the quote is $100 how can it stop you from a drive in a week? Surely it's a 1-2 hour job at that price.

or raising the car the only option ?
yours i recall is lowered 1inch in the ass , does it effect the CV's just as much ?
as mine is only 1.5inch in the rear .


But if the quote is $100 how can it stop you from a drive in a week? Surely it's a 1-2 hour job at that price.

My car is only lowered about 1/2 an inch apparently. I don't think lowering causes the problem but it would certainly accelerate it. It's caused by the design and materials used in the CV cup. There are effectively three small points where the torque is transmitted and the surfaces are not properly hardened.

I suspect the newer ones are better manufactured and hence I haven't seen a reoccurence.

I think ive got the same problem...... Damn lowering it........ haha.... But it does look good.

Let me know how the left to right swap goes vuey.... Ill be doing that swap on my strikers tomorrow.

As regards the cruise..... Yeah Mothers Day is not a good choice of days. Unfortunately I cant make it next sunday. 28th and Ill be there.....
