I sold my 2000 model with 11,000km on it for $58,500. That was almost a year ago too, and I waited 3 months to find a buyer. I think Aus is just testing the waters.

hi Blackie
i have a white with red leather and it is definitley the go! maybe a bit bright but it is an S2000, people with look at it. i think the red looks gorgeous, it looks better with white than it does with silver.
Best of luck!

I'm in the market for a second hand s2000. There's one advertised at Westmore Honda in Brisbane with 8k on the clock for $63990. I guess without a year model it's difficult to know if it's a bargain or not. Highway honda have two 1999 models for $53,990 and $54,990 with aprox 25,000 km on them. I've only looked at them through the showroom window; I wonder how low they'll go.
I've looked at a few private sales around Brisbane over the past weekend but two were asking $57k+ - a bit rich in my opinion. One guy had his 2001 for $50,000 with 52,000km on it, but he was putting on 1200km each week driving up and down the coast. I put an offer in for the other 1999 listed at $50,000 with 23,000km on it but it sold for $48,000
PS - do you see any benefit in getting an RACQ or NRMA check on a second hand S2000?

The kms are quite low for a 3-4 year old car.
What was the condition like?

the S2000 was in excellent condition, had 2 years extended warranty, he had it serviced every 5,000 km, he said to ring the service manager at honda to get a description of the service history, but I'm not sure if a few thousand mattered much to him, he had an BMW X5 and a land cruiser parked in the other carports

But of equal or greater benefit might be an opinon from another owner, such as a member of the local Honda Sports Car Cluib or equivalent.
