Yeah, we're talking Pacific Pesos not Greenbacks.

Don't be too hard on the poor guy. At least he was clever enough to work it out by himself and he did have the decency to publish a retraction.

It was a minor indiscretion in an area where we've seen some pretty bad blunders. He deserves another chance.

Mind telling which Dealer you have been dealing with?
It was Josh Sady Honda in Essendon. They weren't twisting my arm or anything. They pretty much didn't even have to "sell" the car. I walked in and asked for what they can do if they want my business and just want the best price they can give without any "gifts" or "extras" which they will include in the final price anyway. Only took 10 minutes with the Sales Manager, 20 minutes with the Business Manager, and a phone call, and the deal was as good as done.

Maybe I should have shopped around a bit but wasting my time running around all day to possibly wring them down another couple of hundred bucks may have been more trouble than it's worth. So I'm happy with the price, they're happy with the sale, Mr Honda is happy and my GF is almost-on-the-verge-of-why-the-hell-you-pay-so-much-for-just-a-bloody-car-speech-but-happy-coz-me-happy is happy.

I did a search on the Aus Air Intake and it seems there are quite some happy chappies out there with this kit. However, after downloading the installation instructions, being mechanically-challenged I kind of balked at the idea of losing chunkfuls of skin. Anyway, I'll be running her in and getting a feel for her stock before any mods yet.

LOL, the instructions save you from losing skin. That air guide is a real bugger until you know what you're doing, then it's easy.

Let me know when you are ready.

And congrats. That really is a great deal.

You can pick up the 'seconds' for $35K. They have the steering wheel on the wrong side.

In light of the recent demise of my MX-5, I got a quote on a brand new S2000 at $73000 driveaway. What do you guys think? Apparently the 2003 model has Blue/Tan and Black/Tan available as colour options, though the sales manager hasn't seen one.
Considering many of us paid around 78K on road that's a good price.

The deal will be financed with 40% residual at around 7.7% interest pa, monthly payment of a little under $1100.
How many years are those payments for? I paid a 15K deposit and my residual is 25K (monthly payments the same) so sounds about par for the course to me (provided you didn't pay a deposit).

If you've bought already I guess it's too late now but I found if you shopped dealers against each other you could get a HUGE discount off the sticker price. It got my S2K in April 02 for $66K on-road!
As the dealer said at the time "some cars cost more than the discount I got".
This was when the new model was coming out and I guess they wanted to shift the old model off the floor (it only had 6km on the clock)- I wasn't complaining though, I can take the plastic rear screen for a $14K discount.
