Default New 2003 S2000 I am getting!!!

Hi all,

In light of the recent demise of my MX-5, I got a quote on a brand new S2000 at $73000 driveaway. What do you guys think? Apparently the 2003 model has Blue/Tan and Black/Tan available as colour options, though the sales manager hasn't seen one.

The deal will be financed with 40% residual at around 7.7% interest pa, monthly payment of a little under $1100.

Any tips before I sign on the dotted line or pre-delivery?

colours? I am mixed between white/red and blue/tan. Not sure if I might regret the red interior being too lairy but it does suit the character of the car. Tan interior is nice but more appropriate on a Merc or Beemer.

anyway, quite excited about the whole thing. Is there a local S2000 club?

Congrat Blackie. I have a silverstone/red interior and I'm very satisfied with it. This colour I feel is more sophisticated and business like. It tend to add a touch of class however if I was to choose another colour I'll definately go for white /red interior. This is such a sporty colour. The advantage of this colour is that it goes very well when done up (body kit, mags etc) and it suits a lot and different colour rims. So if you want to be different and sporty get white, if sophistication is your liking then I reckon silver stone. Anyway I know you will have fun with any colour. Cheers.

I bought Yellow but purely because of the deal I struck. Was never keen on it, always wanted black or silver. Must admit the yello has grown on me and couldn't imagine driving any other colour.

Blackie - gotta choose the colours you like, cause you're going to have to live with it for a few years.

My $0.02 worth.

I like both you r colour combinations.

Blue with tan looks very classy but tan leather gets dirty pretty easily.
White with red looks only ok in daytime but really looks kick arse at night. Especially with polished wheels.

I thought that the white 03's only came with the tan interior? I could be wrong but I'm sure that I read that on the talk forum.
Perhaps that is only the US.
White/red is a beautiful combo on this car and the only other colour that I would get.
Not sure on the blue/tan I dont think that it would look right.
