Thumbs up Need help! Left rear wheel area noise!

Hey all..
I started to get this noise coming from the left rear wheel area.. Its a rotating noise that happens when i am coasting but goes away when i accelerate.
It went away for a few days, so i thought it might have been a rock caught in the disc..
This morning it came back.. AND worse..
I have changed the CV housing left to right...
The CV boot was a bit loose and a bit of grease came out.. so i pulled the whole thing apart again, checked if there was still plenty of grease in there and put it back together again (used a cv clamp tool that time)

Im getting no vibration inside the car.. just a really bad noise that is even turning heads on the street!
Could it be the diff??
Help anyone??

might sound stupid but check your wheel nuts make sure they are on tight. I got tyres changed once and they didn't put them on tight at all, i pulled over and they were like so loose! It made this weird noise when turning or coasting but under acceleration load didnt' make any noise. Now whenver i get my wheels taken off for brake pads/tyres each time i check them myself when i get home.

What sort of noise? A clicking, grinding or squealing?

I had a kind of low squealing noise when i coast and then upon acceleration it disappeared.
I turn out to be sticky brake calipers and i just had Hanny's put new brakes in as the old ones were starting to wear out.

Have you checked it's not the "audible alarm" warning for worn out brake pads?

The "audible alarm" is a brass strip that comes into contact with the disk rotor when the pad gets very low. It's designed to make a noise that attracts attention.

Rear brake pads are new..
Wheel nuts are tight as..
Could be the wheel bearing?

My car is lowered.. could this have something to do with it?

At the moment i can't drive the car.. it sounds scary..
How can you tell if its the diff or the cv joint??

I've jacked up the rear of the car and drove it like that...
No noise..
Am i right to think that its not the diff but the wheel bearing under load?

How much is a wheel bearing?
