Mobile Speed cameras!
RRRrrraaaaaRRRRrrr..... just got pulled over by some cop being a prick! who happened to drive by my house at the right time!
I got done SPEEDING, crusing along at @ 67km/h in what i thought was a 60zone! at 3am in the morning!
MY own street! outside my house! My street has ALWAYS BEEN 60! GUESS WHAT! its been changed to 50 recently!
What bad luck! what a freaken tosser! booked me right outside my house 2m away from my drive way! he was on the otherside of the road atleast 100m away when he flashed his lights!
Personally, i don't think this is a fair way to judge this offence, 3 points and $211!!.
Can anyone see if would be able to dispute this in anyway?? or atleast argue for a charge of the under 10km/h offence???? im still in shock... and HERE I AM TYPING AWAY AND I CAN HEAR CARS FLYING DOWN MY STREET! FML why can't he book those guys!

wow, that's pretty damn unlucky.
though.. in victoria at least, all residential streets had the limit reduced from 60 to 50 years ago. i would have thought that NSW would have been the same..
but what's done is done. sorry to hear. is it your first offence in a long time? you might be able to appeal on the grounds of having a good past record etc to have the severity reduced.

You should've turned into your driveway and parked it in your garage... then he'd need a search warrant to go thru your place (private property) to book you... haha... Nah, I really don't know about that.
Bad luck, you could try to appeal it as what dr.s2k said - good past record etc.

Sorry to hear about this Kaiske. It's never nice to get a speeding fine.
That said,I'm not sure the 'i didn't know it was 50' argument is gunna work for you. Just means you must drive down the street with your eyes closed everyday and before they changed it were still regularly doing 7 over the old limit.
As for it being just outside your house, well, the cop doesn't know where you live when he radars you and if you're approaching your driveway I guess you're slowing down to turn in. Just means you were going even faster just back up the road.
Probably an ideal opportunity to practice your maturity, say 'mea culpa', and take it on the chin.

Hey Aus, it was just some cop driving on the other side of the road.. which happened to have a camera mounted and be on my street at that exact time, he flashed me, pulled me over and asked for my drivers licences.. i thought it was just a random breath test...
wtf, lol 4km over speed limit... how thats just insane.

Ahhh yeah. Cops cars all have onboard video now.
Funny I should be giving advice on sucking it up. Just after I posted that I went for the drive (in the ute) and realised I was doing close on to 70 past a speed camera on Spit Rd. Might get to put my own advice into practice.
