Megiuars NXT Tech Wax
I was planning on getting the Zaino products this weekend but i read that it is alot of prep work to apply it on. First you have to strip all other waxes by using Dawn then some clay bar and then the Zaino products.
Has anyone used the new Megiuars NXT Tech Wax???
Apparently its a one step process but has similar shine enhancing properties as Zaino.
It costs about $39 from Autobahn.

I use Zaino and I would not go back to normal wax. The preparation takes a bit longer but it is worth it.
Only reason you wash with dawn liquid is to remove the wax thats originally on the car. Then you need to use Claybar to remove dirt and specs from the car before polishing. Basically you do not need to use the claybar if you do not require ultra smooth finish.
Unlike wax, you can apply as many coats as you like, the more coats the better as it gives you the rich finished esp. with dark coloured cars like my beautiful formula red S2000
Now once the basics are done, each coat only takes 10 minutes to apply and 10 minutes to basically wipe off without the need physical polishing. Genarally I polish my 2 cars in under 1 hr and that I could never achieve in normal polish.
Another thing with wax
1. Does not last as long, only 2-3 weeks if you wash it regularly like I do.
2. Cannot have multiple coats as the second coat melts the coat below it
Witn Zaino the coats builds up one on top of the other
Because it is only a wipe and rub off polish, I generally do mine every month and it looks great all the time. I do not need to spend hours polishing it.
One more thing, Zaino does not leave white marks around edges, corners, and emblem of cars etc when it dries like wax do if it is not polished off properly
It is certainly a great product and I highly recommend it.
Don't get me wrong, Zaino is not shinnier than wax, but it last much longer, much, much easier to apply and polish and you can have as many coats as you like (as wax melts the coat below it)

I have been meaning to use Zaino for a while now but always find and excuse not to ('havent run out of the other stuf', 'can't find a distributor', 'too expensive' ,etc).
I went to a Zaino workshop and it actually is less work than what I currently do and the cars end up looking fantastic.
If you ask any detailing pro they will tell you that the only way to do a car right is to do the multiple stage process. Anything else is really just a compromise.

The first time is a good few hours job. If that sounds like too much work then you may as well give up now.
The re-applications take no time in comparison to normal waxing.

the difference simply put it is nxt wax lasts me max 4 wks in the sun
more like 3wks normally
zaino about 3mths even with 1 layer !
nxt easy to apply. zaino a bit of a pain the 1st time, subsequent layers easier...
the time and effort every 3 wks prob equates to doing 2 layers of zaino and leaving it for a few mths anyhow..
who's the distributor now for zaino is aus ? i'm almost out of z2
