Maseratis, A Dime A Dozen
I seem to recall our illustrious compadre Monet bought a 3200GT at auction.
Who wants to follow in his footsteps?

The link wasn't working for me last night either but its fine now. I had my first close look at the newer Maserati amd I thought that it was very sexy and unique. My Dad was mildly interested in updating to one but Im struggling to pry him from the MB fellowship that he has so enjoyed
What's the retail on one of those

Ah, that's better. The link is working now.
It's a very neat looking car. I've never been very into grey cars, but it's probably become my favorite colour for the Coupe. It's really grown on me.
Austblue, if I were you, I'd really start pushing you're dad in the direction of the the Maser. Mostly, for selfish reasons...
The other day I swapped cars for the day with a friend who has a brand new E Class. When he gave me my car back, he couldn't get over how many heads turned with the Maser, but wouldn't have looked twice at the Mercedes.
There's no question that the Mercedes wins on the gadgets per square inch score. It's just that they're so...ordinary.
RRP on a new 4200 Coupe (as seen on my favourite TV show, The Sopranos) is about $230K, but you can find ex-demo models for just under 200K. A 5 year old 3200GT should sell for just over half that.
An essential Mod for these cars is the Tubi exhaust. They really make the car.
Also, ignore all the negative ramblings in the press about the Cambiocorsa (F1 paddle-shift) gearbox. It's really a wonderful thing. I'm sure anyone who has driven one will agree.
Even if he'd only half serious, go with him on a test drive. It beats spending Saturday afternoon infront of the telly.
