Another anecdote: I never use the keyholes so I have caps in them. It was raining the other night so I thought I'd drive up the pub for dinner. Had to jump start the car because I've been running all these electronics in it and not running it. Thought I better put my jumper battery pack in the boot in case I need it when I leave the pub.

Had dinner, went out to the car and the door wouldn't unlock. Battery was really flat. I pulled out the keyhole plug, unlocked the door manually and pressed the boot release button. Nothing. And I don't have a boot keyhole anymore. I have a camera. I was stuck.

Eventually I walked home, took the battery out of my scooter (small 12V gel pack), made some leads with clamps at the end, walked back to pub and jumped the battery which gave me enough power to open the boot. Got out the jumper pack and started the car.

Hey, at least I got some exercise.

Nice job Aus! I'm also interested in seeing what camera fits the keyhole. I use to have one in my old car, its just that I have been too chicken to cut the dash on this car.

The one I bought was even simpler.

http://www.ex-audio.net/shop/product_info..../products_id/99

Just remove the lock and replace with the camera.

Thanks for the link Aus. Do you have a pic of it installed... i'm just wondering if the camera mounts flush with the trunk lid.

BTW, nice install DBZerk.
