Scott that's what I was trying to get at with my post earlier. Lifetime NCB is a complete diversion that lulls people into a false sense of security. The premium is still calculated based on your record and as I said this can more than eliminate any saving made by the NCB.
AFAIK though they aren't offering something that they dont deliver so its not false advertising. Im sure that they have some good lawyers that ensure that and even advise the insurance companies better ways to get around the image issue.

Hey Guys - Did you know that the S2000 has a built-in anti-hijacking feature as standard equipment?

$1600

21yrs old
$900 excess
As for that "built-in anti-hijacking feature" a lot of good it does when you still hear about S2000's being stolen in Oz.

I just shopped around for my insurance:
26 yo, male, good suburb, rating 1 - protected, no tickets or accidents or offences, 1 free windscreen, agreed value $45K, $1,000 excess (basic was $500 but I put it up).
Had quotes ranging from $4,300 (F.U. NRMA), to flat out denial by Ryno and AAMI (just cars quoted $2,739) to just under $2,000 with Vero (through HSBC) so I went through HSBC and they don't charge you anything extra for paying by the month either.
Also my CTP greenslip was $603.58 with NRMA and managed to get it down to $336 with Allianz - again NRMA can go jump.
Cliff Notes
NRMA are farked,
Vero and Allianz are ok.

I rang up with Just Car and decided to get a quote for an S2000. Mind you, I got this quote last week when I had my P's for 2 days
For market value* on a MY00' full comprehensive ~$4400.
*33k!
